Apostille for foreign documents and papers

What is an Apostille for foreign documents?

An Apostille is a certification from the competent authority in the country where the document was issued, confirming the origin of the public document so that it can be used in another country that is part of the 1961 Hague Convention.

Starting from September 11, 2026, the Apostille Convention will be applied in Vietnam. If applicable, foreign documents that have been Apostilled can be used in Vietnam without having to go through the consular legalization procedures as before.

Conversely, Vietnamese documents can also be Apostilled for use in countries and territories that are part of the convention.

How do we support the Apostille process?

Basic process:
1. Receive information
Customers send photos/scans of their documents, indicate where the documents were issued, where they plan to use them, and the purpose of use.
2. Check the documents
We check the type of documents, place of issue, and any requirements that need to be done before Apostille if any.
3. Advise on the plan and quote costs
Guide the necessary steps, expected time, and costs for each file.
4. Carry out the procedure
Support handling documents at the competent authority and monitor the process.
5. Receive and hand over the results
Check the Apostille result and deliver it to the customer.
